It starts as a faint musty smell in the hall closet. A little discoloration around the baseboard in the laundry room. Allergy symptoms that seem worse than usual this spring. By the time most Arlington homeowners accept that they have a mold problem, the colony has already been growing for weeks or months, and what could have been a contained remediation has turned into something considerably bigger. - [Is it Toxic? Debunking Myths About Black Mold vs. Regular Mold in Lewisville Homes](https://regentrestoration.com/debunking-myths-about-black-mold-vs-regular-mold-in-lewisville/): The phrase "black mold" does something to people. Shoulders tense. Eyes widen. Conversations shift from casual to serious in an instant. For two decades, media coverage has trained homeowners to treat Stachybotrys chartarum as a unique horror while dismissing other mold as little more than an aesthetic nuisance. The problem is that this mental model is wrong, and it's actively dangerous for Lewisville homeowners trying to make smart decisions about their homes and their health. - [Is White Mold in Your House Dangerous? A Guide for Lewisville, TX Homeowners](https://regentrestoration.com/is-white-mold-in-your-lewisville-house-dangerous/): You pull a box from the back of a closet and notice a fuzzy white film on the wall behind it. You move a dresser and find a powdery coating on the baseboard. You check the crawl space and see pale patches spreading across wooden joists. Your first instinct might be relief because it's not the dreaded black mold everyone talks about. But that relief is misplaced. White mold is real mold, and in a Lewisville home, it deserves the same urgent attention as any other fungal growth. - [Unexplained Headaches & Fatigue? 10 Warning Signs of Mold Toxicity in North Texas](https://regentrestoration.com/10-warning-signs-of-mold-toxicity-in-north-texas/): You wake up already tired. Your head aches by mid-afternoon. You've been chasing the same cold for months, losing your train of thought mid-sentence, and wondering why coffee isn't working like it used to. Your doctor has ruled out the obvious causes and suggested stress or allergies. But what if the real source isn't stress at all? What if it's growing inside the walls of your home? - [The Health Hazards of a Sewer Backup (And Why You Need Pro Restoration in Lewisville)](https://regentrestoration.com/the-health-hazards-of-a-sewer-backup-in-lewisville/): A sewer backup is one of the most dangerous emergencies a Lewisville homeowner can face, and the real threat often goes unseen. The water pooling on your bathroom floor or bubbling up from a basement drain carries bacteria, viruses, parasites, and toxins that can cause serious illness within hours of exposure. The smell is unmistakable, but the actual sewer backup health hazards in Lewisville homes extend far beyond odor. - [Why Frisco Homes Are More Vulnerable to Mold Than Most Homeowners Realize](https://regentrestoration.com/why-frisco-homes-are-vulnerable-to-mold/): Most Frisco homeowners assume their homes are too new, too well-built, or too well-maintained to have a mold problem. The houses are often less than fifteen years old. The HVAC systems are modern. The landscaping is manicured. Everything looks pristine. So when a musty smell creeps into the master closet, or a family member develops unexplained allergies, or a dark spot appears on a ceiling, the idea that mold could be the cause often comes as a surprise. - [Emergency Restoration Tips for Plano HOA Communities](https://regentrestoration.com/emergency-restoration-tips-for-plano-hoa-communities/): Plano is home to dozens of homeowner association (HOA) communities, from the large master-planned neighborhoods of Willow Bend and Stonebriar to the established communities of Hunters Creek, Deerfield, and Kings Ridge. Many of these communities include a mix of single-family homes, townhomes, and condominiums, each with its own set of considerations when water damage or other emergencies strike. - [Mold Prevention Tips for Denton Homeowners Near Pecan Creek](https://regentrestoration.com/mold-prevention-tips-for-denton-homeowners-near-pecan-creek/): Denton, TX is home to beautiful neighborhoods, a thriving downtown, and the natural corridors of Pecan Creek and its tributaries. But for homeowners living near these waterways, particularly in South Denton and the areas between the university campuses, proximity to water brings an elevated risk of moisture intrusion and mold growth. The combination of creek-side humidity, seasonal flooding, and Denton's warm climate creates conditions where mold can establish quickly and spread aggressively. - [What Plano Homeowners Need to Know About Foundation Moisture and Clay Soil](https://regentrestoration.com/what-to-know-about-foundation-moisture-and-clay-soil-plano-tx/): If you own a home in Plano, TX, you are living on some of the most reactive soil in the country. The clay-rich earth beneath neighborhoods like Willow Bend, Hunters Glen, Gleneagles, and Ridgewood Hills has a direct and measurable impact on your home's foundation, plumbing, and overall structural health. Foundation moisture problems are not a matter of "if" in Plano. They are a matter of "when" and "how much." - [What to Do After a Flood in Denton County: Step-by-Step Guide](https://regentrestoration.com/what-to-do-after-a-flood-in-denton-county/): Flooding is one of the most common and destructive natural events affecting Denton County. The region's geography, with its creek systems, proximity to Lake Lewisville and Lake Ray Roberts, and expansive clay soils, makes it particularly vulnerable during heavy rain events. Whether you live in Denton, Corinth, Flower Mound, or Lewisville, knowing exactly what to do after floodwaters recede can make the difference between a manageable recovery and a prolonged, costly ordeal. - [What Causes Water Damage in Plano, TX Homes?](https://regentrestoration.com/what-causes-water-damage-plano-tx/): Plano sits in one of the fastest-growing corridors in North Texas, with neighborhoods ranging from the established streets of Old Plano near Haggard Park to the upscale developments around Willow Bend and Stonebriar. While the city is known for excellent schools, thriving businesses along Legacy West, and easy access to green spaces like Arbor Hills Nature Preserve, it is also a place where water damage remains a persistent concern for homeowners. The combination of North Texas clay soil, flat terrain, seasonal storms, and aging infrastructure creates conditions that can lead to water intrusion in homes across every price range. - [Common Water Damage Causes in Denton, TX Homes](https://regentrestoration.com/common-water-damage-causes-denton-tx/): Denton, TX is a vibrant college town with deep roots, tree-lined neighborhoods, and a thriving downtown square. But the same North Texas conditions that make Denton a great place to live also expose homes to a wide range of water damage risks. From the historic bungalows in Quakertown Historic District to the newer builds around Robson Ranch, every property in Denton faces unique vulnerabilities related to the local climate, soil composition, and infrastructure. - [After the Plumber Leaves: The Crucial Next Step in Water Damage Mitigation](https://regentrestoration.com/after-the-plumber-leaves-the-crucial-next-step-in-water-damage-mitigation/): When water enters your property, calling a plumber feels like the natural response. Regent Restoration take a very good care about walls inner damage. They run different types of equipment to completely dry our house. Every day someone from company came to us and check drying process… I highly recommend this company if something happened in yours property. Thank you and job well done ! - [Carol50 Bow](https://regentrestoration.com/review/carol50-bow/): As a Marine and disabled veteran, attention to detail is part of my corps values. After a slab leak traveled through my home, sharing what matters to me about the care and attention Regent Restoration adds to what can be stressful life incidents - it’s rare air. Part 1of3 of my rating and review is necessary because my restoration is a process. From drying and preserving to inspections and adjusters, Regent prepared me before stress, not because of it. Their level of education met me where I was, and is keeping pace with my learned trust and expectations. While I’m expecting the best of my situation, acknowledging Regent as a rare team of caring individuals, with missions of possibility isn’t an exaggeration. People of consequence to me are Antony with a (T), giraffe like knowledge, he set the tone of straight talk. The A-Team brought dryers and preserving care to my home like they would their own homes. Ron, Marlon, Charles, and Isaiah, each crazy hard workers and super smart, showed me grace to avoid panic. Eddie is a real life macgyver period. Destinee’s team brought the most peaceful and calm pack out ever, not a small task and I’m sincerely grateful. And Jeff, Kaylee and Tyler - I’m humbled, are showing me focused giants of character, real talk from start to ongoing. To be continued… - [M W](https://regentrestoration.com/review/m-w/): I was very happy and please with Regent- Restoration team. The packing team was very helpful during the packing process of my home, when it mattered the most. As we needed to get my home ready for Repairs due to pipes bursting on the first floor of my home. I appreciated all their hard work, Ms. Alma was there for the whole process, she assisted our family with any questions or concerns we had along the way. - Thank you so much! 😊 🙏 - [Brittney Henry](https://regentrestoration.com/review/brittney-henry/): Both the Mitigation and Reconstruction Department were amazing! Unexpected water damage is extremely stressful and I greatly appreciate how patient and kind they were in explaining each step of the process to us. If you can have Racey in the reconstruction department as a Project Manager, she is the absolute best! - [DeAndrei Hall](https://regentrestoration.com/review/deandrei-hall/): Andrew and Leo made my experience with losing my floor the easiest it could have been. The agent over my account, Lachel, made sure to keep my insurance company and me informed for the entire process. I can not thank them enough for helping me when I needed it the most - [Sheena Williams](https://regentrestoration.com/review/sheena-williams/): Everyone that I worked with through Regent was very professional. I had a leak in my guest bathroom that went through the wall into one of my guest bedrooms damaging the carpet. Marlon Shields, lead of my water restoration project, along Matt were very prompt. Before they got to my house, it smelled of mildew from the leak, but they were able to quickly dry everything up bringing back a good scent to my home. I’d most definitely work with Regent again. - [Candace Evans](https://regentrestoration.com/review/candace-evans/): These gentlemen came highly recommended by the plumber that was replacing my failed hot water heater, that flooded into the walls of my master bedroom and garage. They were on scene same day and wasted no time in getting on top of removing the carpet, and opening the walls necessary to starting the dry out needed to stop the mold from taking over the soaked walls and floors. Antony was incredible at making what needed to happen, happen, without me needing to figure it out myself. Leo has been punctual, professional, hard working and swift each day in coming out to my home to check the fans and dehumidifier progress. I truly appreciate Leo’s well-mannered, communicative and professional approach. Highly recommend! - [Seema Kanadia](https://regentrestoration.com/review/seema-kanadia/): If I could give 10 stars for this company, esp. Aaron, I would. We have called them out on two ocassions now for water damage assessement. Once it was a water heater that leaked water through our ceiling and another time, it was water from a broken sprinkler that flooded our wood floor. In both the instances, we had an industrial fan running continuously for several days. When Aaron came out, he measured the moisture in the area and give his honest opinion about what is needed, if at all. In the first instance, nothing was required. In the second instance, he recommended some simple measures that would remove a little moisture that he measured on the floor. These days, when honesty is VERY rare, Aaron's service is a breath of fresh air. We are seniors on fixed income and so not having to spend a lot of money to fix a problem that we could fix ourselves meant a lot to us. We REALLY appreciate Aaron for his thoroughness, his explanations and his honesty. We will definitely use Aaron's services again when we need to. May God bless him :)
